About Me and My Work

My path into psychotherapy grew from a lifelong love of nature and the belief that our environments shape our well-being. Before becoming a therapist, I founded Field Thistles, a creative landscape design business that showed me how deeply our stories and emotions connect to the spaces we inhabit. That insight inspired my shift from tending gardens to supporting the inner landscapes of the people I work with.

Today, I blend therapeutic horticulture, creativity, and nature-based practices with evidence-based psychotherapy. I support clients of all ages, with particular care for children and seniors. I also have experience working with couples through Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) training. My goal is to create a warm, inclusive, and grounded space where individuals, couples, and families can reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the natural world as they grow and heal.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I offer in-person and virtual therapy, as well as gentle nature-themed options such as walk-and-talk sessions, forest or community-based meetings, and nature-infused therapeutic experiences. I am committed to supporting diversity, inclusivity, and neurodivergent individuals, honouring each person’s strengths, lived experiences, and unique ways of being in the world.

My work draws from strengths-based approaches, EFT, positive psychology, CBT, and a variety of other evidence-based modalities, allowing me to tailor support to each client’s needs.

I offer free consultations — an open invitation to connect, ask questions, and see if we’re a good fit. When ready, we can begin this journey together.
